1. Information from RFID Readers
RFID readers are preloaded with our software and deployed around your organization. There are three types of RFID readers we support :
- Fixed RFID Readers:
mounted to walls or ceilings; always looking for tags; used for automatic asset tracking - Desktop RFID Readers:
plugged into a desktop or laptop computer via USB; used for manual asset tracking and check-in, check-out - Mobile RFID Readers:
durable mobile handheld; used for manual asset tracking, check-in, check-out, and "shoot and find" asset finding
After your assets are labeled with RFID tags, you can begin using any combination of the three reader types to track assets as they move around your organization. Because the software is web-based, these readers can be spread out over any floor, building, or geographical location that has internet access.
2. Data Transmission
Fixed readers and mobile readers come with software preinstalled, and need no software installed onsite. This is the primary advantage of Track Express readers, as there is no middleware for your servers to manage.
For desktop readers, there is a small, free application that must be installed on any desktop or laptop which uses the reader.
After the readers have been connected, they will begin transmitting data over the Internet to our secure server.
3. Data Collection and Display
As our servers start receiving information, you can see it on the Track Express application from any modern web browser. The data can be filtered by asset type, location, ownership, status, and more. Information can be provided for each asset in a number of configurable fields, which are all searchable.
Track Express has a number of reports that will help your organization utilize this new information, and your data can be exported to CSV and Excel.

Software as a Service
Track Express is a hosted application, accessible from any modern web browser. This means there is no server software to administer on site, so you don't have to worry about server down time, software upgrades, or server management.

Get Data In, Get Data Out
There are multiple ways to get information into the system. Asset lists can be imported from Excel, desktop RFID readers can be used to create assets, and mobile readers provide "in the field" flexibility.
Getting data out is also easy with a variety of email and on-demand reports. Data can also be exported in CSV format into Excel, and we also provide an API for integration into other business applications.

Data Security
Track Express is hosted on our secure, SSL enabled servers, with backups stored off-site. Your information will never be shared or exposed to any third parties, and we do not use your asset data for any other use other than to display that data to you.

No Middleware Required
Unlike traditional RFID packages, you have no servers to manage, and no middleware to install. Our readers come preinstalled with all they require to securely communicate with our servers. Desktop readers require a small Windows program, which is distributed for free.

User Management
User permissions allow you to select which users can see certain asset groups, in certain locations. The system also separates administrators from general users, and gives control over what each group and see and do.

Highly Configurable
Track Express can be configured from within the application. Each asset has a number of fields that you can customize to fit your needs. The system itself can also be configured, by selecting which menu options you wish to see, what screens are most important to you, and what actions are visible on every screen.
